Choosing to Thrive in Systems Built on Scarcity

A collaborative workshop with Laura Hartley & Cathryn LeCorre

How do we thrive and create joy in organisations running on the fumes of scarcity and urgency?

What if leadership wasn't about directing others, but embodying the qualities of depth, presence and authenticity?

Join Laura Hartley and Cathryn LeCorre - two contributors to the book Inner Development Goals (IDG) Stories of Collective Leadership in Action - as they guide a practice ground for inner development that starts with getting free from internalised capitalism and reconnecting with the natural, seasonal wisdom that lives within and around us.

Together we’ll explore:

From Scarcity to Thriving: Explore how internalised capitalism, urgency and scarcity show up in our leadership, and how to begin composting them through practices of seasonal change.

The Seasonal Circle of Change: Cathryn will guide us through Celtic wisdom and rhythms of cyclical time, inviting a different pace and pattern for how we live, lead, and relate to work and purpose.

Inner Development Goals (IDGs) as Praxis, Not Performance: Rather than adopting the IDGs as an institutional initiative or training focus, we’ll approach them as capacities to be practiced through relational, spiritual, and embodied transformation.

Co-Inquiry with Fellow Changemakers: We’ll consider how to make the case for inner and outer wellbeing in organisations so we can reshape the world.

You’ll leave this session with:

  • A clearer view of how internalised capitalism shows up in your day-to-day leadership

  • Practical tools to walk the Seasonal Circle of Change

  • Ways to relate the Inner Development Goal (IDG) capacities to ancestral and cyclical wisdom

  • Practices to interrupt patterns of urgency, and productivity-identity loops

  • A sense of shared purpose and kinship with other changemakers
