Scintilla Salon

What would it look like to build, right now, the kind of cultures we're trying to create in the world?

Not as a future project, not once the conditions are better, but here, in the organisations and movements and relationships we're already part of. How do we build microcosms of the world as it could be, while working inside the world as it is?

This is a question about the gap between vision and practice. About what it actually takes to relate well under pressure, to stay aligned with our values when things get complicated, to create spaces that resemble what we're reaching for rather than reproducing what we're trying to change.

This online Salon brings together people who are working toward a more just, loving, and regenerative world, to think carefully about the cultures they're helping to create.

Co-hosted by Laura Hartley, Founder of the Scintilla Centre, and Rachel Butt of Wondrousound, it's a facilitated conversation rather than a training or workshop. There are no prescriptions here, only good questions and genuine dialogue.

What we’ll explore

  • Why purpose-driven and values-led spaces can inadvertently reproduce harm

  • How do we stay in right relationship with the world we're longing for

  • What helps us stay in right relationship when pressure, urgency, or conflict show up

Who this is for

All those who believe in or are working towards a more just, loving and regenerative world.

What to expect

We'll introduce the topic, following which Rachel of Wondrousound will drop us into the space with a short meditation filled with music and sound. The salon will be co-facilitated by Laura & Rachel and includes small group dialogue,  a respectful, reflective atmosphere and a space to ask deeper questions.
